Whynacht's Point is one of several peninsula's jutting out into St. Margaret's Bay and is known as an extraordinary boating area. Nearly surrounded by salt water, it is widely recognized as a micro-climate that seems to defy fog. Deer, fox and pheasants share "The Point" with osprey, eagles and Great Blue Heron, all of which are often seen from Blownaway. Canoeists and kayakers have water access at the bottom of the lane while Whynacht's Point Road leading to Blownaway offers a peaceful half-hour stroll along the shore.The area around Whynacht's Point is surrounded by spectacular beaches, historic towns, fine dining, galleries, craft and antique stores. The St. Margaret's Bay cycling / walking Trail is only minutes away and all amenities (grocery stores, gas stations banks, drug stores, liquor store, etc.) are less than a ten minute drive from Blownaway.
